DOT Motorcycle Awareness Signs for SC?
South Carolina Senate Bill 629 was introduced during the 2004 session. If passed it would have provided that the department of transportation design and erect signs that promoted motorcycle safety along the state's highways.

Motorcycle Awareness increased through the use of signs in NC

The first sign of it's kind in the country, from what we can ascertain was brought to you by the High Point Chapter of Concerned Bikers Association/ABATE of NC. This sign is being tested on a road in Guilford County that has had a high number of accidents involving cars running over motorcycles.

ABATE does not advocate riding without a helmet; ABATE advocates that you have the right to decide. ABATE does not condone drinking and driving or riding. Contributions to ABATE of South Carolina, Inc., or any of its chapters are not tax deductible.
